Egypt parliament votation 21st November 2011
Egyptian media quoted the election commission head, Abdel Moez Ibrahim, as saying voting for the lower house, the People's Assembly, would be in three stages, the first on 21 November 2011 and the last on 3 January 2012. Upper house elections would spread from 22 January to 4 March.
No date has been set for a presidential election, which is not expected to take place until March or April 2012.

Gulf of Aden

The UN body IMO (International Maritime Organization) has issued guidelines on the use of private armed guards to protect ships from piracy. Maritime Safety Committee (MSC) approved during the 89th session: 11 to 20 May 2011 http://www.imo.org/Pages/home.aspx an Interim guidance to shipowners, ship operators, and shipmasters on the use of privately contracted armed security personnel on board ships in the High Risk Area, and Interim recommendations for flag States on the use of privately contracted armed security personnel on board ships in the High Risk Area (Gulf of Aden – Indian Ocean).
