Procedures

 

RESERVATIONS
Send your request by e-mail or fax to our head office in Switzerland with number of pax, route and requested dates. If available, you will receive within short time the notice "confirmation of booking", that space has been reserved and asking you for a deposit of 10 % or US$ 100,- per pax. If space is not available, alternative dates will be proposed. Our confirmation will bear a number which will be used throughout handling of this booking.
The deposit is due within 10 days. Only after receipt of funds your booking will be considered as a binding contract. If funds have not been received within 10 days, your reservation will be cancelled automatically and needs to be reconfirmed by ourselves. We will of course try to inform you in time that we have not received your deposit.

PAYMENTS
Final payment is due 4 weeks prior to embarkation date. You will receive our final invoice in due time before payment date. Detailed information for passenger list (name, certification with number of logged dives, passport number and individual requests for special food or other) is expected now. In case, you booked a trip to the offshore islands of Brothers, Daedalus, Zabargad or Rocky, we need a copy of passports for local authorities.
For short notice bookings made within the last 4 weeks prior to embarkation, full payment is requested immediately (including deposit) upon receipt of confirmation of booking and invoice.

General Rules for CANCELLATION and REFUNDING
Once a confirmation of booking has been issued and the deposit has been received, any cancellation earlier than 8 weeks before embarkation is possible with full refund of deposit.
All cancellations coming within the last 8 weeks before departure are subject to the following schedule:

Earlier than 8 weeks prior to embarkation full refund
Earlier than 4 weeks prior to embarkation refund 50% of full payment
Later than 4 weeks prior to embarkation no refund
Single boats may apply different rules and schedules for cancellation of bookings.

If a cancellation brings the number of passengers to less than the minimum requested for the boat, then the operator can cancel the whole trip.
We will grant refund of payments received (without deposit) regardless of this schedule, if the operating area is officially declared to be unsafe by the government of the customers' country for their citizens. Any refund will be paid out only through the travel agency, where the customer has paid his dive package. Percentage of commission will be deducted.

Cancellations must be received in writing and receipt has to be acknowledged by SDS to entitle for refund.
